For most 10 year olds, The Two Towers is a yes, and it is a harder yes than Fellowship was. It scores 72 on the ScoutScore, in the Bold tier, mostly from the Battle of Helm's Deep, a sustained hour of siege warfare where the wall is breached by an explosion and soldiers fall throughout. A beloved Elf commander is killed by an Uruk from behind, and a king buries his son earlier in the film. The dread that Fellowship built mostly through atmosphere becomes real combat here, at real length.
