For most 9 year olds, F1: The Movie is early, mostly because of how the characters talk. It scores 41 on the ScoutScore, in the Mild tier, and the flags are scattered profanity through nearly every scene, mild insults and the occasional stronger word, plus a fiery crash at Monza that a driver is pulled from while the car burns. Late in the story a doctor's report reveals that another hard hit could cause vision loss, paralysis, or death, and the hero keeps racing anyway. The racing itself is thrilling and the danger is the point.
