For most 11 year olds, Titanic is close, and the things to weigh are not the ones parents expect. It scores 71 on the ScoutScore, in the Bold tier. The sinking is long and hundreds of people die on screen, a man shoots himself, and the hero dies of cold in the water. What parents remember is the drawing scene and the car. Both are brief, both are there, and both matter less to most 11 year olds than the last forty minutes do.
